A fun way to begin the musical journey
Wak-a-Tubes are brightly coloured plastic tubes, perfect for getting people of all ages playing music. Simply hit the tubes against a hard surface and the note will be played. Due to the tubes being different lengths the note differs. Alternatively, the tubes can be placed on a flat surface and played with beaters.
The tubes provide an inexpensive and fun way to begin understanding music. Players can create a simple tune in minutes. They also encourage team building, group participation and improved hand-eye coordination.
A fun, lightweight design
Made from plastic, Wak-a-Tubes were meant to be hit, meaning they are extremely durable. They are also super lightweight making them easily transportable. The tubes will also fit back in the box when not in use. When in use, the sounds are achieved at relatively low volume, perfect for educational environments.
Percussion Plus Colour & Play range
The chromatic set accompanies the diatonic set (PP790) of 8 notes to make a fully chromatic set.
The colours of the tubes match with other products in the Percussion Plus Colour & Play range. This allows children and people who can't read music to quickly interpret colours to create a song. A free Wak-a-Tune songbook with colour coded music is available online, providing a range of songs to play along with.
Other products in the Colour & Play range include the Chime Bar set and Combi Bells. Both follow the ChromaPlay colour music method. A Wak-a-Rap can be purchased for simple storage and a stand is available to make playing with beaters easier. To further expand learning, Wak-a-Caps can be attached to lower the pitch down an octave.
