Key Features
The AJH Minimod Dual Contour, Silver is a powerful module that features 2 independent contour generators, and a unique retrigger response. Multiple retriggering increases the output level so the volume increases incrementally. If the A/D cycle has not fully reset, then the following attack peak becomes higher and higher, resulting in gradually increasing volume. The Minimod Dual Contour includes 2 independent switches to control each envelope. These change the response of the contour generators from AD to ADSD. The response curves clone the same response from the Model D envelope generators. These were responsible for the unique punchy, bass sounds of the Model D synthesizer. Additionally, the Dual Contour features 2 trigger buttons for manually triggering each envelope.

The AJH Minimod Dual Contour features a unique retrigger response. When another key is pressed down before the A/D cycle finished, the decay does not fully reset. This means that the following attack peak will be higher than the previous one. If you are using a VCA module, each retrigger will gradually increase the volume level. After 3 or 4 rapid presses the max level will be reached and subsequent key presses will be at this max level until the decay has time to fully reset. The times of the attack and decay can be adjusted between 10ms to 10 seconds.
The Dual Contour features 2 envelopes that have independent switches. Turning the switch on changes the response of the contour generator. You can choose between AD (attack, decay) mode and ADSD (attack, decay, sustain, decay) mode. In AD mode there is no sustain control. Holding the gate high, or a note down, results in no effect after the initial trigger. The decay curve acts normally and starts once the attack curve is complete. However, in ADSD mode the sustain control sets the level of the output until the key is released. The decay curve then starts after the sustain.
