Key Features
The Analogue Systems RS-120 Comb Filter Module is based upon a BBD (bucket brigade device) analog delay line. It offers a frequency response of approximately 30Hz to 5kHz at its output. The use of the comb filter allows you to shape sounds, but provides a different character compared to standard low/high-pass filters. The RS-120 Comb Filter features a Delay Time control, which allows you to adjust the fundamental frequency of the comb filter. This feature can also be controlled by CV using the CV inputs. The RS-120 also offers variable resonance, however there is no voltage control for resonance, just manual control. The RS-120 is perfectly suited for creating phase and flanger effects

A comb filter is essentially a special case of multiple notch filters, the rarest of all analog synthesiser filters. They are often described as analog delay lines. Notch filters cut several notches into the audio signal, resulting in a comb-like look of the frequency spectrum. This allows them to shape sounds much differently than regular filters, sometimes resulting in completely transformed sounds.
