The quarter sawn Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard features a '60s ''U'' profile which provides a comfortable and smooth playing experience. The Artisan Bass has two Custom Shop hand-wound single-coil pickups - a '62 Jazz Bass bridge pickup and a '62 Precision Bass middle pickup - which combine with the resonant roasted Ash body and RSD designed hi-mass bridge to produce authentic, formidable and incredibly versatile Fender bass tonality.

The Custom Shop Artisan Bass is equipped with two Custom Shop hand-wound single-coil pickups, a 1962 Jazz Bass bridge pickup and a 1962 Precision Bass middle pickup, along with rear-loaded controls and 1960 Jazz Bass wiring. This configuration helps to produce an authentic '60s-era tonality with Fender's renowned reliability and versatility that is perfect for performances on stage and in the studio. Other premium features include a stunning Tasmanian blackwood top, an AA Maple Jazz Bass neck, an a-string Stealth string retainer, a 1-ply gold pickguard, Custom Shop hardshell case and a Custom Shop certificate of authenticity.
