Key Features
The Pearl Brian Frasier Moore 14 x 5.5'' Signature Snare has been designed in collaboration with the man himself! A 12ply maple/gumwood shell produces excellent volume with a wide dynamic range, giving you articulate hits for both the studio and on-stage.
Mastercast die-cast hoops give you a focused sound, whilst the CL bridge lugs give you plenty of tension-holding power to really explore this snare's dynamics. Perfect for live use, the revolutionary SR-15- snare strainer attaches the throw-off arm to the tension dial, making sure that your snare wires stay put throughout a performance.

If you haven't heard of Brian Frasier Moore, you will have certainly heard him play on many hits by big names such as Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Usher, and Christina Aguilera to name a few. What sets him aside from your average drummer is his tight pocket playing and explosive chops - the real backbone behind all of these hits. His collaboration with Pearl drums will let you achieve that same tone and wide dynamic range that Moore is renowned for. We don't expect everyone to be at the same level as Moore, but whatever level you're at, the Pearl Brian Frasier Moore 14 x 5.5'' Signature Snare will certainly help you achieve a fantastic sound.
Maple is one of the most popular wood materials to craft drum shells from. However, gumwood is a bit more specialised. Gumwood is porous and is classed as a medium/hardwood, offering softer tones than harder woods like oak or birch. The Gumwood on this snare is placed as 2 plies on the outer and 2 plies on the inner - a gumwood blanket around the foundational maple. Adding a warmer, punchier and rounder tone to complement maple's attack and projection.
