The Gretsch G5622T Electromatic guitar features a laminated maple body, with a chambered construction and spruce centre block. This chambered body provides a lightweight guitar that is perfect for gigging musicians who play quite frequently. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured, which allow the natural sound to be projected acoustically and provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era. Finally, a double-cutaway design allows players to easily reach the higher frets for full access across the whole fingerboard.
The Gretsch G5622T Electromatic Center Block is equipped with a duo of Super HiLo’Tron humbucking pickups that deliver bold, dynamic and articulate tone with enhanced sonic punch. Both pickups can be easily controlled using the independent volume controls, along with master volume and tone, and a three-position toggle switch.
Unlike other guitars that feature a plastic or real bone nut, the G5622T Electromatic uses a Nubone nut manufactured from a highly resonant TUSQ material, delivering a killer tone and sustain. With 20 years of research and development, this Nubone nut is especially designed to enhance tone. Manufactured under high heat and pressure, this unique material outperforms plastic in many ways including its hardness, workability, appearance, guitar performance, odorless and its strength. In addition, Nubone delivers clear highs , a nice low end with overall fullness and a balanced sound that has increased harmonics and volume.
An anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge is also included and delivers a great tone and precise intonation with its six individually adjustable string saddles. Combined with the Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, the bridge slightly "rocks" with the movement of the strings- reducing friction and adding tuning stability.
