The tone workstation features Keeley’s classic compression circuitry, delivering thick and full tones that create an incredible sustain. Blend and treble controls have been added to the compressor for more control over the effect, delivering an even greater compression. The blend control can be used to add the original signal with the compression to create lively and crisp tones. The blend allows you to hear the nuance of your attacks and can provide bite to high output pickups or humbuckers. The treble boost switch can be set to on for an increase in treble, adding a sheen to the high end when using a lot of compression.
The 1962 overdrive offers a British amp like overdrive, producing a full and even sound with a moderate amount of crunch. The katana boosts either side of the overdrive, adding tube like saturation with a JFET valve simulation. The two produce an excellent sounding drive tone with the right amount of breakup, or in boost mode with produce a clean, pushed amp-style overdrive. The katana boost can be used by itself to provide a pure clean, tube tone, with both tone and drive controls disables and only the volume control still active.
The red dirt circuitry offers fifteen years of overdrive modding to produce the best TS tones that Keeley can offer. Featuring a JFET front end, the red dirt can produce an incredible crucial midrange with the option to go from clean and clear to a super-saturated gain. The circuitry captures every nuance from your guitar’s tone, delivering a classic powerfully sweet lead tone.
