Boost Things Up
The basic drive section delivers a distinguished vintage overdrive. Put on the boost section, to get a saturated lead sound with plenty of gain and sustain. Additional features on the boost section are the Top and Mid boost emphasis filters for you to adjust your tone even more.
Tube-Amp Style Circuitry
VPD1 boasts a unique circuit, with accurate replication of every group of components in an original vintage tube amp combo. This even includes the dynamic interaction that occurs between the components. Along with the drive functionality, VPD1 actually serves as a small preamp, with its range from low overdrive to snarling leads - and beyond.
The Signal Path
In the VPD1 signal path, the boost section is placed before the drive, meaning that the boosted guitar signal not only sounds louder but also sounds more overdriven. This makes is great for switching from rhythm to lead guitar. The remote function even allows you to switch the VPD1 boost on and off with the optional G-System from TC Electronic (not included), or any other external relay switching device. There are also top and mid boost switches for a more flexible sonic exploitation.
With an integrated speaker filter, the VPD1 is very useful for studio sessions and practicing at home and this speaker filter can be bypassed at a flick of a switch.
