Sustainiac Pickup & Electronics

The Sun Valley Super Shredder is equipped with an innovative Sustainiac pickup system, allow players to add unique effects and harmonic overtones to their performance. The Sustainiac can prolong the sustain of the guitar by capturing the vibrations and turning them into vibration energy, this is then distributed back to the strings to increase the sustain of a note for as long as required. The Sustainiac also features an on/off switch and a mode switch, with the options between fundamental, harmonic, or a mix between the two. Selecting the fundamental mode will allow the strings to vibrate normally, but with an infinite sustain, while harmonic mode morphs plucked notes into a high harmonic vibration.

EMG Retro Active Hot 70 Humbucker

The guitar also comes equipped with EMG’s Retro Active Hot 70 humbucker, offering high output tones and an incredibly versatile performance. Designed to offer all the benefits of an active pickup with the feel and dynamics of a passive, the EMG humbucker delivers beautifully vintage tones which reminisce of 70’s rock. The pickup is also equipped with a uniquely voiced plug-in FET preamp, deliver a low-impedance output and removing any unwanted noise, hum, and buzz.

Mahogany Body

The mahogany body delivers a naturally warm tone with a touch of bite, creating beautifully tights lows and an appealing high-end ideal for creating sharp tonal runs. Its sweet sonic punch and rich character delivers an excellent amount of depth, providing the guitar with an incredible sustain and resonance. A vibrant riviera blue finish completes the look, creating a truly eye-catching aesthetic which will stand out in any crowd.

Maple Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

The maple wood provides the guitar with bright characteristics, creating a snappy attack in the midrange and a sizzling high end. When the strings are played hard, the wood adds extra layers of punch to the tone, while light to medium picking offers more clarity. The addition of an ebony fingerboard enhances the guitar with a beautifully bright, responsive attack, with its natural feel delivering a smooth performance and plenty of overtones. The neck’s thin 'C' profile is ideal for fast playing styles and speed runs, designed to allow the hand to naturally cup the neck for an incredibly comfortable playing experience.

The Hot Rod tremolo is based on Floyd’s original model, offering plenty of warmth and sustain thanks to its large block base. The bridge works in tangent with the locking nut, increasing string stability and preventing the strings from detuning after excessive bending.
