Key Features
The Verbos Electronics Amplitude and Tone 10HP is a discrete and flexible combination of transistor-based VCA, exponential and linear CV FET input gain and vactrol-based Sallen-Key lowpass filter. The perfect output section for the voice chain of your modular Eurorack, the Amplitude and Tone has a huge range of sound shaping possibilities, everything from rich, vintage filtering to tame harshness all the way to extreme resonance that adds tremendous weight and energy to your sound. Designed with no integrated circuits, the signal path remains completely discrete, allowing the sound to be passed through the chain transparently with no signal loss or colouration, other than however you chose to process your signal. Due to the discrete design and linear and exponential curves, you can achieve some hard-hitting and aggressive percussive sounds, making it the perfect choice for electronic music producers looking to take your music over the top and turn it up to 11.

The perfect tool in the studio to manipulate your instruments to produce thunderous and powerful low end or to tame some harsh upper frequencies in your sound. The cutoff control sets the initial cutoff frequency, where you can sweep through the range to increase or decrease the cutoff frequency. Once you've found the sweet spot and have transformed your sound, you can add in additional resonance using the dial for some extra low-end thump and weight to bring your track and instrument to life with excitement and energy. Drive the resonance up and you will discover the Amplitude and Tone sends itself into self-oscillation and clipping that can add harmonic saturation to cut through even the densest of mixes. Find the right balance between the gain and resonance controls to fine-tune your sound and take your instrument to new heights, ensuring you don't overdo it and run the risk of adding too much low-end to your mix. Designed with a completely discrete transistor, your sound won't be coloured by any integrated circuits that are in the signal path so the signal you send in, is what you will hear on the other side.
Following on from the success of the predecessor, the Amplitude and Tone 10HP now features a transistor-based VCA for a more aggressive tonality and gain staging. The "amplitude" control sets the initial level of the VCA with both exponential and linear control can be used simultaneously. Unlike traditional 2600 style VCA's, Amplitude and Tone give you maximum flexibility with reversing attenuators per both inputs to reduce the gain of each other. To retain your signal quality with no signal loss, the VCA section does not use any integrated circuits, maintaining a discrete signal path that keeps your tone clean and ready to be amplified through the VCA.
