The result is one of the most adaptable mic preamplifier/compressors available today. For the combination of vintage audio characteristics and modern features, trust the Drawmer 1970.

With a feature set similar to the Drawmer 1960, the control layout feels instantly familiar to Drawmer users. One feature improved for the 1970 is a fine-tuned EQ, offering a highly accurate response to user changes. The 1970 uses the latest 'That Corporation' technology to provide two ultra-transparent microphone preamps. These help create precise recordings that are set up perfectly for further processing post 1970. Each channel is capable of a huge 66dB of gain, which is ideal for a range of sources and microphone types. Phase reverse is also included.

Whether you're tracking instruments via the DI input or recording vocals through the ultra-clean mic pre's, the 1970 is packed with features to create professional recordings.

  • Separate Line & Mic input XLR's
  • 1 pro quality instrument DI input with low and high EQ.
  • Can be used as 2 mono tracking compressors or 1 stereo buss compressor (avoiding image shifting) via the class leading comprehensive linking facilities.
  • FETs can be bypassed altogether to provide ultra clean outputs.
  • Standard controls such as Threshold, Ratio, Attack & Release, with 8 LED GR Metering on each band
  • Rear panel Side-chain insert points provide even further control.
  • ‘Big’ and 'Air' Modes Help to preserve the very deep lows and enhance the sparkling highs
  • Variable Wet/Dry Mix plus Output Gain knobs on both channels give a ‘Parallel Compression’ function without the need for external mixing devices, providing complete and effortless control over the amount of compressions used and output levels
