The EN16 Detent is designed for users who prefer precise, incremental adjustments over broad parameter sweeps. Each encoder features tactile 20-detent rotation, providing clear physical feedback with every movement.

Infinite rotation allows you to control parameters without fixed limits, making the module particularly useful for software instruments, mixing tasks, plugin control, and navigation functions. Velocity sensitivity also enables faster parameter changes when turning the encoders more quickly, adding an extra layer of responsiveness to your workflow.

More functionality from every control

Each encoder includes an integrated push switch, allowing a single control element to perform multiple actions. This makes it easier to build efficient layouts where adjustments and commands can be accessed without reaching for additional controls.

Whether assigning mute functions, plugin shortcuts, mode changes, or transport commands, the push functionality helps maximise flexibility while keeping the controller compact. The result is a streamlined workspace with quick access to frequently used controls.

Customisable visual feedback

Every encoder is paired with a dedicated RGB LED indicator that can be configured within the Grid Editor software. You can assign different colours to specific functions, adjust brightness levels, or add pulsing animations to improve visibility and organisation.

This visual feedback is especially useful when working with multiple profiles or larger Grid systems, helping you identify controls quickly in darker environments. The lighting can also be tailored to match different workflows and applications.

Flexible platform and workflow integration

The magnetic Grid connection system allows the EN16 Detent to connect seamlessly with other Grid modules in virtually any orientation. As layouts change, the Grid Editor automatically reflects the physical arrangement, simplifying larger modular setups.

Four onboard profile pages can be stored directly on the device and accessed using the side-mounted page button, allowing fast workflow changes without opening software. Support for MIDI, HID keyboard, mouse, and game controller functionality, alongside Lua scripting capabilities, provides extensive options for custom control schemes across creative applications.
