The Make Noise Brains Binary Event Machine is a versatile synthesis module that allows you to get the most out of your modular setup. The Binary Event machine can be connected to one or two Pressure Points, allowing you to create a 4 or 8-step, 3-channel analog sequencer. Its versatile design means you can take full control of your routing capabilities. The design is based on the principle of Voltage Control over Direction, Run/Stop and Reset. Working in conjunction with the Pressure Points module (not included) the points provide tune voltage per stage, as well as including the Touch-Gate OUT, that produces a gate HIGH signal whenever a Pressure Point is touched.
The streamlined and highly flexible circuitry means that Brains can function at speed behind the threshold of human hearing. You can incorporate a Master Clock, using the Clock Input, initiated when touching the Pressure Points, allowing you to quantize it to the timing signal for added versatility. The length and timing of the sequencer is determined by the routing of the Touch-Clock to the Master Clock. The divisions of the Master Clock will also product variations of the main sequencer.
The black faceplate is printed to emulate a circuit board, using black, white and gold graphics that clearly annotate your connections. The module comes complete with all the cables you require for expansion of one or two Pressure Points. The highly compact size (4HP) makes it ideal for the space conscious user, providing flexible sequencing that will not take up your whole rack. The Brains Binary Event Machines operating using a single supply requiring only +12V and Ground connected.
