Re-engineered from the ground up, the KH 120-II offers extended frequency response that provides bass down to 44 Hz. As such, the KH 120-II deliver a supremely consistent frequency response throughout its extended range - from 44 Hz to 21 kHz, with a maximum deviation of ±3 dB. A similarly linear phase response prevents smearing for exceptional clarity. Combining this with highly efficient Class D amplification, these studio monitors reduce THD to an absolute minimum, even when cranked to maximum volume.
In addition to the mechanical improvements to the amplification and drivers on the KH 120 monitors, this new edition also features DSP that adds compatibility with Neumann's MA 1 Monitor Alignment System. This will help you make the most of the speaker's linear frequency response, tuning it to your room to reduce unwanted resonances and standing waves from interfering with your mixing or mastering.
The redesigned Class D amplifier in these studio monitors has been made more efficient to save energy when not in use. While typically providing 100 watts of power to the tweeter, and 145 watts to the woofer, when idle, the amplifier will consume a mere 17 watts. And when in its automatic standby mode, it will consume a modest 0.3 watts. Great for running an energy efficient studio at home, the KH 120-II offers great power whenever it's needed.
