Get started within minutes. The Tascam 208i comes complete with a wide range of software including Steinberg Cubase LE DAW. The Cubase LE DAW is a streamlined version of Steinberg's award-winning digital audio workstation. Cubase has long been a staple in the professional music world, fast becoming one of the most used music software on the market. It allows you to record, edit, arrange and mix recordings into songs.

Also included are a range of plugins from IK Multimedia, ideal for use with guitarists and vocalists. IK Multimedia AmpliTube guitar/bass modelling and effects software is included, perfect for getting professional-grade guitar tones without the need for expensive amplifiers. T-RackS mastering software is also included, allowing you to master your songs once you have recorded and mixed them.

Built-in DSP Effects and Processing

One of the most cutting-edge features of the 208i is the DSP input and output mixer. This specialised mixer comes complete with digital reverb, compressor, phase invert and 4-band EQ for each channel. These integrated, premium-grade processors eliminate latency issues and takes the strain off your computer, allowing you to process your audio more efficiently.

Versatile Connectivity, Expandable Outputs

The 208i features a wide range of analog and digital connectivity, allowing you to use the interface with a variety of equipment and instruments. Four XLR/TRS combo mic/line instrument inputs are included for use with instruments and microphones (including condenser microphones). Eight 1/4-inch analog line outputs allow for versatile monitoring capabilities and up to 7.1 surround sound audio.

Two optical S/MUX expansion ports allows you to expand the connectivity of your interface, accepting up to 16 channels of audio input (resulting in 20 total inputs). Four AUX buses allow you to connect up to for stereo pairs of monitor speakers, allowing you to test mixes with on different mediums.

Dual headphone outputs allow for two artists to monitor their mixes simultaneously, allowing you to hear the difference at the same time. The compact interface is also highly portable, easily fitting within a backpack, allowing you to record on the move.
