Making drums accessible to all, this collection includes exotic and boutique instruments that are difficult to come by and even more difficult to set up and perform on, including Surdos Orchestral Bass Drums, Orchestral Toms, Taikos, Doumbeks, Field Drums and Snares.

As a founding member of UJAM, Hans Zimmer has lent his more than capable hand to the creation of Drums. Recorded in his legendary Remote Control Studio using a selection of his personal exotic and boutique instruments, Drums ascends to the cream of the crop for virtual orchestral drum libraries. Recorded and produced by industry-veteran Boris Salchow, UJAM Smyphonic Elements Drums is a force to be reckoned with.

Programming realistic and expressive percussion tracks is a very difficult task. Harnessing the style and groove that a real performance contains often means diving into the intricate details of techniques, something that is very time-consuming and monotonous. This takes away time for the more creative aspects of your production, interrupting the creative flow. The alternative is to use a very expensive and time-consuming real orchestral drummer to perform over your tracks but this comes with its own selection of problems. For this reason, UJAM has developed a brand-new performance engine, filled with ready-made sequences to instantly sync to your host tempo for hyper-realistic and intricate drums. Over 1219 phrases are included from over 53 different styles with 23 pre-made phrases per style to offer you a tremendous level of flexibility in your projects. Additionally, every style comes with five one-shot metallic hits for a total of 265 one-shot samples.

Whether you have studied classical composition or know how to mic up large drum ensembles or not, UJAM Drums doesn't tie you down with intricate technique parameters but instead lets you load up the instrument and get composing within seconds.

Supernatural sound design engine

Designed to not only give you highly realistic string sounds, but UJAM Drums also employs a new Supernatural sound engine, filled with powerful sound shaping tools for a sound design twist. Build textures, atmospheres and even completely reshape and transform your sound into a completely new instrument to suit the needs of your production with ease.

As each section of the drums is divided into low and high tuned instruments, each range is given its own independent set of controls, parameters and effects to help you fine-tune your sound along with a master section. Add movement and rhythmical dynamics to your drums with Motion FX, comprised of everything from rhythmical, chopped and glitched staccato sounds to smooth vibrato and tremolo. Ideal for lifting a solo section with enhanced emotion to sound more realistic and dynamic. Delicate Character FX allows you to reshape the overall timbre of your drums by boosting and cutting different frequencies. The Character FX works in tandem with the Focus EQ control, allowing you to morph between different preset EQ curves to alter the frequency response of your independent low and high drums to cut through even the densest mix.

It's not just the sound of each range that can be altered within UJAM Drums. You can adjust the transient response within your phrases using the Shape control. Ideal for adding intense and sharp staccato notes to spikes and stabs that follow along with other instruments or for enhancing the sustain of long, held notes.

The master module affects both modules simultaneously, offering a global change to the tone for creative sound design. This is where you will find the crossfade control that seamlessly morphs the volume between low and high strings to dial-in the perfect level for your project. A key aspect of realistic drum performances is the ambience, which is why UJAM Symphonic Elements Drums includes a variety of real-world ambience spaces to enhance the depth and dimension of your sound. For contemporary swells and faders, an analog-modelled synth filter is included in the Highlighter dial, making cinematic trailer impacts, that much more powerful. The final piece of the sound design palette is presented with the Finisher section. A staple amongst all UJAM products, this proprietary multi-effect design lets you do anything from subtle enhancement of your sound to completely redefining it to a new instrument!
